Windows on NES !!
Have you ever wanted to run Microsoft Windows on NES? Well of course not!
However, the bootleggers could not hear you out on that and did it anyway.
The reason for these fake operating systems existence is probably to provide keyboard famiclones with fake operating systems.
Some famiclones (fake illegal bootlegged hardware clones of the NES) pretended to be computers.
These would feature keyboard, mouse and controller. Some would even feature a floppy disk drive.
The software would usually be stored on ROM cartridge.
So why don't we take a look at them:
Starting with Chinese Windows 2000:

Both of them feature a command prompt. It is also here that the famiclone keyboard come in handy.

Both original and bootleg feature a working calculator. (Works with keyboard)

The bootleg features BASIC
Windows 98:

Features Photoshop that doesn't open

The original has the best version of MS Paint as the bootleg variant doesn't even work.

The bootleg MS-DOS prompt doesn't even work :(

They couldn't even program a FUCKING CALCULATOR !! Well.. to be fair the original gets 9+10 wrong.

Surprisingly the Nintendo version is better at displaying web pages. Who would have thought!
